Combining Keq Values: Reaction Mechanisms (Similar to Hess's Law)

The reactions that we see often take several smaller reactions to complete. This process gets termed reaction mechanisms. This is essentially Hess's Law in motion and like Hess's Law the sum of the actions will equal the whole. Keq values will be added together but the direction of the reaction steps shown may need to be reversed. Reversing the direction of a reaction will immediately invert the Keq value shown.
